Review 1

After spending 2 days with Tony last week doing my Powerboat Level 2 course, I must admit that going back to work is really tough! Tony makes boating so enjoyable that after spending this time with him, I’m now more determined than ever to get my own boat.

Tony’s teaching style is very relaxed and encouraging – no matter how many times I made the same mistake! By the end of the course though, I felt extremely comfortable handling the boat in all conditions and at all speeds.

If I had to find a recommendation to improve the experience with Essa, it would be simply around the booking process, which currently relies too heavily on Royal Mail! Using today’s technology, the booking forms and any necessary background information could be easily sent via email, or even downloaded from the website as this would smooth out the process (it took Royal Mail nearly 2 weeks to get the booking form from Plymouth to Swindon....!)

Overall, I can’t recommend Essa highly enough and have already asked to be put on their mailing list for when they launch more advanced courses.

Tony's Reply - At the time of John's booking there were postal strikes and we did not have online booking, which caused these delays but we fully agree with John's comments. So we have instructed our web developer to incorporate the booking form online, to be downloaded and then emailed back to us for a much quicker response in booking time.

Hi Tony

Hope you are enjoying the Pacific sunshine.

Firstly our apologies for the delay in replying to your email and many thanks for the photographs, we have had an extremely busy time since the course, including my car being taken out by a bus!

Anyway we would both like to say that the Powerboat Level 2 course you ran for us was absolutely excellent, we could not have asked for more.

With your experience, background and patience you gave more value to the course than we could have hoped for, absolutely brilliant.

We look forward to booking up some refresher time when you are back.

Again many, many thanks and would recommend your training to anyone, in fact we went on a bit at our recent Safety Boat course about how excellent and value for money Essa Powerboat Training is.
